Please, Mr Postman! Is there a letter for me?

Olen odotellut Novitalta uutta lehteä / laskua / kerhotunnuksiani. Arvatkaas, mitä niistä on tullut?

On aina liian vähän aikaa...

The Finnish yarn manufacturer Novita has started a knitting club on the net. Or at least that's the story. I've heard of other people who have received the latest issue of the magazine, their bill and/or the user name needed for the club's net pages. Guess what I've got. Right. None of those. But who needs a boring Novita when the local postman Pat spoils me with his service, bringing me a 4-kilo-parcel today. Normally I'm not at home when he makes his day round, but luckily my guest was there today, signing for the parcel so the postman didn't have to carry it back to the post office. Wonder how much that would have cost me at Christmas time, when it's customary to tip the postman for the service he has provided during the year. (Service. Right. My street number is 34, and several times I've found mail which is meant for people living up at number 340 which is about 1 km away.)

Oh well, about the books: Three copies of Nicky Epstein's newest, "Knitting on the Edge". The essential collection of350 decorative borders. Not bad at all, and comes with the author's signature. And why did I buy three copies? Because I'm such a nice person and wanted to make life easier for a couple of friends who in turn wouldn't have to order the book from Amazon or some other source. So, here we are folks, two extra copies available. I'll just have to confirm the price in euros when the credit card invoice arrives.

I also bought some more books when visiting the Knitting and Stitching fair in London and intend to write some reviews on them. If only there was enough time for all these plans!
